We are now throwing in the towel, waving the white flag of surrender and taking the car to the shop. Tim has spent the better part of a week working on the family car only to find a new problem at each turn. He is extremely sick of the sight of this thing at this point and we have dropped it off for the shop to complete the repairs. We are both anxious about the bill for the repair/s. We had planned to replace the family car once we got back with the girls (looking at 12 passenger vans to have more room for everyone) so we are really hating to be dumping money into it now. The repairs are needed though since we are talking safety issues like... faulty brakes! Hoping the shop can pinpoint the problem, quote a surprisingly low bill (can't blame me for hoping!) and repair this thing quickly. We are spending too much energy/time/money on this and need to move on! :)
No news on our process. DHR should finish up with the homestudy this week and forward on to USCIS. We should be notified when this occurs. I'll let you know when we hear something! :)
