Paperwork and Prayers

The mound of paperwork and reading can be overwhelming at times. I have this constant feeling of being behind and having forgotten something very important. I'm sure you know the feeling I'm describing. Well... in the process of trying to hurry through our homestudy, we have put off other things. One fairly large thing... signing and returning our agency agreement! So... I have spent the better part of the day reading a 26 page legal agreement so that we can get this into our agency ASAP! I had planned to spend the day tying up loose ends for our final homestudy interview which is scheduled for this Wednesday. I guess I will have to get that caught up tonight or shuffle it into tomorrow's pile!

Today we kick off our "Awareness Campaign"... if you don't know what I'm talking about, please read the previous post for an explanation. We would greatly appreciate your prayers throughout this campaign period and throughout our process. When people hear what we are doing (and other adopting families going through this process) there is usually 1 of 2 reactions: 1) Are you crazy? or 2) You are very special people. Well... I do not think that either of those apply. (ok the crazy might, but that would have applied even before we began this process). Tim and I are normal people called by an Extraordinary God to follow a different path leading us to two special children that have a great need.... a family. We are no different than any of you. We were just asked to do something that you may not have been asked to do and we made the decision to follow. As we are just normal people we will have many problems, worries and concerns along the way. Please commit to praying for our family for at least the next 3 weeks (Awareness Campaign ends 3/21/09, but our need of prayer will continue well beyond that date). We greatly appreciate your prayers and support.
